Well, I hope you all had a great weekend! I had a pretty busy one.  Tennis, sewing, cleaning, visiting and just enjoying the lovely weather!  With being so busy, I seem to have neglected my sewing project...ugh...that just means I will be very busy the next few days...procrastinating!  I have gotten quite a bit done so far though....so fingers crossed I get it all finished (well, I have to, otherwise I have nothing to wear!).

One outfit...ooooo what's it gonna be?!!
It's Tuesday! We just completely skipped Monday....well sort of...it wasn't a work day.  The long weekend was just perfect! And the weather....gorgeous! I as you know, took up Tennis.  Let me tell you, I looked the part for sure on Monday...but didn't get my game on par with my outfit lol.   It was so hot out even my cats were just laying around the house trying to cool down.  I also think I was worn out from the previous two days of Tennis...or should I say running after the ball!   I didn't just play Tennis this past weekend.... I started designing two new outfits for myself! One, for our store opening (That's right, What On Earth has a store front opening next week!!!!) and one for possibly a birthday dress...we'll see if I can get them both finished...it's kind of a last minute thing...Challenge, accepted! Eeee I'm excited!

Flowers!! Something summery, of course.

Lovin' the color!   I love that one can look and play tennis fabulously..or in my case...I can look fabulous...not sure I could play half as good as her!

Oh Hello long weekend!!! This weather has been wonderful.  It rained most of the week but it's been nothing but sunshine this weekend.  I actually took up a new hobby...Tennis! Now, I'm not that great at it...in fact today I almost hit a baby...my bad...too much power in my swing! Luckily the baby was no in the stroller at the time and was happily playing with his/her mother on the playground.  But what a workout! I even went shopping today for some fun tennis gear.  I think I'm more excited about the dressing up part lol.  I got a couple cute skirts, shirt, socks....I told my husband I would play every day if I had a fabulous little out fit to wear.  I'm supposed to go out again tomorrow morning.  Hopefully I'm not too sore from today and can prance around in my new outfit and do a little better than I did today...and if not, at least I look fabulous!

How stylish is she?? Maria Sharapova....her own  line by Nike!  Photo via www.tennisidentity.com
ps Last weekend I attempted to fulfil one of my new season wardrobe to do's: coloured denim....fail.  All the denim  was just too long for me and my apparently not average height....I'm just about 5'4...ugh.  I didn't want to roll them up and hemming  sometimes looks bad....so I'm going to try again at some point...I will not  give up!  There aren't too many places around here that sell them so I'm trying to find some online priced within reason..including shipping!

TGIF

I thought this was kinda fun! photo via allposters.com
TGIF! Happy Friday! Today I purchased some pretty stretch sateen for a possible new little number I hope to make!  One would think that after all that designing and sewing I would be in need of a long break...apparently not. I think I am going through withdrawals....but I love it and can't wait to get started.  Hope everyone has a fabulous weekend.

Met Gala, 2012

10.January Jones in Versace, I believe.  Such great tailoring and detail!  The coloru is so daring and fun.  Love the blue jewellery...nice contrast!
9.Sophia Vergara in Marchesa.  This woman always looks amazing!!
8.Jessica Alba in Michael Kors....love
7.Paula Patton in Vera Wang- She's one of my favourite designers. I love the cut and the color.
6.Rooney Mara in Givenchy Haute Couture by Riccardo Tisci.  This girl has really come out this year as a style icon, in my opinion.   This dress is beautiful...sophisticated and sexy.
5.Amy Addams in Giambatista Valli Haute Couture.  Do I really need to say why I love this?
4.Amber Heard in Zac Posen.  She reminds me of a silver screen siren.  Absolutely love the color and the tailoring of this dress is gorgeous.
3.Emma Stone in Lanvin.  She has such great style.  This red dress really compliments her features. It's adorable!
2.Beyonce in Givenchy haute couture by Riccardo Tisci.  Wow! Can you believe she just had a baby?  She was so modest too , said it was last minute.  A few people weren't happy with the dress but I say if you got it, flaunt it! I love the colour and the sheer details...it's like a piece of art.
1.Carey Mulligan in Prada.  I love the scale detail. Reminds me of a mermaid.  She pulls it off so well from head to toe!
It's already almost the weekend! I have to say, I feel like I've had an extended Monday lol.  Maybe it's the rainy weather.  Oh sun, I miss you! But that's okay, I know one thing that always cheers me up...great fashion! The other night was the Met Gala and wow do the stars ever know how to shine....and yeah there are a few that I'm not sure what they were thinking...but here are a few of my favourites.

Also looks great with this summers pastel colour palate.  I also played around with some pink glass...so perhaps some fun new glass bead collections?!  Lets see if I can come up with something fabulous tomorrow!  I put this fun little outfit together....a little bit of floral, rose quartz jewellery with a feminine edge...and a bow!!!

Floral print pants

Great daytime look.  Love the yellow.  And those pants are just the right touch of floral.  Hmm I like!

Tuesday!!!! Tuesday, Tuesday, TUUUUEESSSDAYYYY!  I'm not sure why that just happened...I guess I feel like Tuesday needs some attention too....We got Monday...the ugh day...Wednesday, Hump day...Thursday...almost Friday (And my show line up night) and then TGIF!!! What about Tuesday? lol it's the recovery day after the Mondays....  Anyhoo, as usual, I had fashion on my mind today.  I continued to think of my topic yesterday, coloured denim (which colour do I choose?).   It led me to my next stylish consideration: Floral patterned pants.  Do I dare? It is too risky?  Floral prints are in right now. I've totally fallen for them...and I've noticed celebs wearing them left and right!  This not so new trend is a bit nostalgic for me.  When I was younger, about 9 or 10 I had these floral jeans I used to wear all the time...I loved them!  And me being so darn stylish would always pair them with this lovely pink and black hounds tooth printed top.  What was I thinking?! And why didn't my mother stop me lol.  Maybe I was on to something (she knew it!) because mixing prints it also a big thing right now. Like I said before..I'm feeling a little adventurous and Fashion can exciting as you want it to be.  Why not just go all out and hit every trend this spring/summer season!

bows and colored denim

1.Oh snap! Three trends here....colored denim ,florals and a blazer. Top it off with a Bow! A+
2.Animal print is always in and love the shoes and simple drop earrings.  Fuchsia lipstick just sets it off!
3.I adore this color combo.  The accessories add just the right touch. Simple and classy.

Allo! Well, it's Monday...I definitely had a case of the Mondays.. but it  was sooo nice outside, it helped with that!  I'm not sure why, but Mondays seem to be my "dropsy" day.  I just can't seem to keep anything in my hands at work....but it'll get better by the end of the week...then it's the weekend...then it starts all over again lol.  Anyways, one of my favorite things cheered me up today..Bows! While browsing through my new In Style magazine, I came across a page full of cute Bow accessories!  I've been trying to tell people for a while now, Bows bows bows...they're here...learn to love them! They are so fun and girly...and they can be worn as clothing or accessories (jewelry, purses, shoes...etc) .  So, they are versatile..just sayin' :)
Also, due to this lovely weather...I started to think of ways to update my wardrobe.  One thing I've been thinking of is colored jeans.  They seem to be the thing right now.  They came out last year and sort of caught my attention but this year I'm definitely thinking of giving them a try.  The question now is, what color?!!?  Blue would be the safe choice because they seem closest to regular jeans...but do I want to go with the safe choice or have a little fun?!  Orange is a big color this year and would definitely be a fun splash of color...then there's Red...or Yellow...or Purple...holy cow, so many choices!  Maybe I will have to try more than one pair.  And yes, it might seem a little challenging to match colored denim but this coming season is all about color and taking chances. So, be daring and pair it up with another bright color or stay on the safe side and stick with neutrals or black and white.  I guess it depends what kind of mood you're in! I'm feeling a little adventurous!
